WHAT: Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey and his staff will honor Montgomery Police Department Officer Carlos Taylor with the Officer of the Month Award and make a special presentation to the Taylor family.
INFORMATION:The Officer of the Month Award was created by Montgomery County District Attorney Daryl Bailey to express his appreciation to the men and women of law enforcement for the services they provide and to acknowledge the extraordinary sacrifices they make on behalf of our city.
Officer Carlos Taylor is the October 2019 honoree. Officer Taylor is a 2016 graduate of the Montgomery Police Department. He was an outstanding student who was elected the president of his class. As an officer his strong desire to help people was especially exemplified in his interaction with our youth.
In February 2017, Officer Taylor was critically injured in a crash while on duty. He suffered a traumatic injury to the stem of his brain. While he is not walking or able to communicate verbally, Officer Taylor is very alert.
DA Bailey and staff are eager to support and encourage Officer Taylor as he continues his journey to recovery. They are honored that he and his family will be able to attend the award ceremony at the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
