Montgomery Man gets arrested for making a terrorist threat

Michael Lee Walker is charged with making a terrorist threat, the incident occurred on New Years Day when Walker walked into a gas station on West Fairview at 11:30 am. The clerk reports that Walker was loitering, and was asked to leave. He then threatened the clerk with having a bomb in his backpack, and said it would go off “either today or tomorrow.”

The MPD’s bomb department then reported, blocking off several streets and quickly evacuating the building. Walker dropped his backpack and ran away from the authorities. Walter’s backpack was searched, but no bomb was found. He was then taken to the Montgomery county detention facility and is being held under a $2,500 bond.
